Lykes Insurance Transportation Services is an area of specialty born out of many years of experience insuring not only Lykes Brothers various trucking exposures but many other Florida operations who either specialize in transportation or are significantly impacted by this exposure.

Given the many obstacles on the road to profitability that transportation companies encounter including state filings, OSHA and DOT regulations, there is a whole new responsibility that will not only effect their total costs of risks but will place a even larger emphasis on safety and loss control.  We have established  partnerships with seasoned carriers and brokers to offer our clients and prospects risk management and loss control tools and services  to redefine their performance baselines relative to this new statute that replaced the previous FMCSA Safe Stat Program.

Through our experience and tenure in the transportation industry we have come to the realization that our transportation clients have identified that insurance costs are a crucial line item in a trucking fleet’s operational budget, typically ranking just behind personnel and fuel costs.
