Almost eight decades ago, in forging a business empire that would include citrus, cattle ranching, banking, trucking, natural gas and a steamship line, the Lykes family struggled to find someone to understand their businesses and provide insurance coverage for them.

They founded Lykes Insurance in 1925.

Fast-forward to today and Lykes Insurance is now one of the oldest Florida-based insurance agencies, with the depth and breadth to reach beyond the Sunshine State, and even internationally.
